Who we are

This website is run by Manamohan Rout, an independent professional working as Rogueberg from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Bharat. If you have a question about your data, write to hello@rogueberg.com.

What we collect

• Quote requests and orders: the name, email, organization, country, project or hosting details and budget range you enter in the form.
• Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user agent, kept to stop spam and abuse.
• Accounts: if you create an account, your name, email, organization and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store the password itself.
• Hosting customers: your verified name, address and contact details, the period of service, the IP addresses assigned to you and the purpose of the service, plus network and access logs from the servers we run for you.
• Cookies: currency remembers whether you view prices in INR, USD or EUR. If you log in, rb_session keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. Neither is used for tracking.

We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent personal data.

Emails from this website, such as account confirmations and password resets, are sent through Resend. Our inbox is hosted by Zoho Mail. Both process your email address only to deliver messages.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your request, prepare a quote and, if you become a client, deliver the work or run your hosting. The legal basis is your consent when you send the form, our contract with you once work begins, and the legal duties described below.

Data on servers we host for you

What you store on a VPS, game server or dedicated server belongs to you, and you decide how it is used. We don't look at it or use it except when you ask us to, when it's needed to keep the service running or secure, or when the law requires it. Servers run in the country you choose (India, Singapore, Finland, Germany, France or Canada), in data centres operated by our infrastructure providers, who handle data only to run the hardware and network.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests that don't become projects are deleted after 12 months.
• Accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them at hello@rogueberg.com.
• Client records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
• Data on a hosting service is deleted 7 days after the service ends. India's CERT-In directions require us to keep hosting customer details for 5 years after the service ends, and our system logs for 180 days, kept in India.

Where it is stored

Website data is stored on servers we manage in India, the EU and the US. Hosting services run in the country you choose, and our records about hosting customers are kept in India. Access is limited to the people who need it, over encrypted connections.

Sharing with authorities

We share data with government authorities, such as CERT-In or the police, only when Indian law requires it, and we tell you when the law allows us to.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the EU GDPR where it applies, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent. Email hello@rogueberg.com and we will respond within 30 days. Records the law requires us to keep are deleted when that period ends. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local EU supervisory authority.
